Animal Studies and Art

This Animal Studies Website focuses on the relationship between Animal Studies as an interdisciplinary field of research and Art. It thematizes the connection between research in the ‚humanities’ about human and non-human animals, their historical conceptualisations as well as aesthetic materialisations and the thinking about art. It concentrates on the impact of Animal Studies in the following fields: Aesthetics, Art history, Visual Studies, Culture Studies, Gender Studies, Media Theory and Philosophy.
