This Animal Studies Website focusses on the relationship between Animal Studies as an interdisciplinary field of research and Art. It thematizes the connection between research in the ‚humanities’ about human and non-human animals, their historical conceptualisations and aesthetic materialisations and the thinking about art. It concentrates on the impact of Animal Studies in the following fields: Aesthetics, Art history, Culture Studies, Gender Studies, Media Theory, Philosophy and Visual Studies
